Blowing Your Top

Right across the street from the library, an underground transformer, in an attempt to celebrate New Year's Eve early, decided to blow. The streets are blocked off, and they might shut off power to our building. They've already done some of the surrounding buildings in the area. I was already taking a half day. If they shut off the power and make us go home, does that mean I still have to take vacation time? I'm betting yes. Anyway, Happy New Year everyone.
