A Major Coup

The city getting DCI to move its hq to Indy and hold competitions here? A big boost to a city that is supposed to be increasing its cultural profile. Nice work.

"The announcement marks Indianapolis' latest success in efforts to become a hub for musical organizations. The city already is home to The Percussive Arts Society, Bands of America, the International Violin Competition of Indianapolis and the American Pianists Association."

I knew about the Violin Competition, of course. I'm hoping to catch some of it this year......we'll see. But, I didn't know about the other things. I'm impressed.
